Anchor

Wondering what you guys are using for an anchor (type and weight) on your C30's. Mine came with what looks like a 12lb or so danfourth on 20' or so of chain...basically the same as I used on my previous boat (Hunter 23), but looks woefully inadequate on the C30.

I am using a 25lb Mason Supreme with 20' 5/16 chain and 250 1/2 nylon 3 strand. Works for me so far. Very easy setting anchor.

Steve, this topic is a "regular" topic on this board. May I suggest you do a search on those two words? Lots has been written, lots of it just recently, and very good discussions for you to read at length.

I went to a 33 lb. bruce type anchor with 30 feet of chain. I was using a 22lb danforth.
