I would like to add an anchor windlass to our 89 Hunter 33.5.Input or pictures would be greatly appreciated. The Seattle Boat Show is coming and I would like to buy all I can there. George

We have a 1993 H33.5. I would prefer to have the windless inside the anchor locker instead of having a motor protrude into the V-Berth. Unfortunately the shank of my anchor rests parallel to the starboard side therefore some kind of guide would be needed to redirect the rode toward the windless. Is there something like this available? The picture has the anchor stowed away for the winter. Jeff

Although our boat is a 37.5, the configurations are not too different. I have already seen pics of some windlass installation on this forum, but I am always ready to look at more examples. Yes, I am heading to the Seattle Boat Show too. I want to get my hands on the different models and play with them a bit before I decide on which one to buy.

Did it to my 88 33.5
I added a Powerwinch Class 35 to my 88 Hunter 33.5 and had great success sailing between Fajardo PR and Pensacola until Ivan crushed my boat last year. I've replaced my boat now, and I'm planning to install another Powerwinch in much the same way. I'll attach a photo to this answer.
