I thought we should start a new thread in case there are others in the area that may be interested in what you are doing. I have a Bruce and a Danforth. The Bruce is on my roller while the Danforth sits in a locker. I have never used the Danforth. I have had absolutely no problems with the Bruce. It has never dragged except when flipped over and then dragged 10-15 ft. before setting again. I would be glad to donate the use of these if you would like to do some testing. Tim R.

I'll be at the Maine Boat Builders Show this weeked. I'm helping Seth run his booth at Mobile Marine Canvas we're in building five. If you go to the show stop by and say hi and we can set up a time to test some anchors!! Here's a video of my Spade A-80..

I'll stop by

Interesting tests. You will be the guy with the muddy anchor and a broken strap right? Good thing it broke on the near end and not the far end. Could have left a nice ding in your car. Tim R.

The strap

was just connected to the tie downs on the vehicle and that's what the 5/8 rode was tied to. If the 5/8 rode broke that would have been very interesting..
