I have a Vision32 1989 and the nylon on the anchor roller is worn out but the fitting is welded and I need a way to replace the roller. I am sure it has happened to someone else. Any suggestions. Has anyone drilled the axle out and replaced it with one that can be slipped out for a new roller and what kind is better? Rubber, nylon, other? Thanks for any assistance.

Barry, Use a welding grinder to cut the axle.

Use a 4 or 6" welding grinder to cut off the axle end that protrudes out past the weld. Then grind off the weld and axle stub remaining. When that is done the axle falls out. Replace the roller and mount it with a stainless steel bolt with a stainless steel, nylon inserted locking nut. Now you have a serviceable, replaceable anchor roller. Have an outstanding new year. Mission Accomplished

I was able to drill out the welded axle and replace it with a 3/8" bolt and aircraft lock nut. I had to customize the roller to make it fit but it works well now. I broke a titanium bit first but the cobalt bit that I got after that worked well. Used a hole drilling attachment to modify the diameter of the rubber roller. Thanks for the help. Barry
