My 2002 Hunter 270 does not have an anchor roller. I need a roller 1.5 inches wide & having difficulty locating one that narrow. Advice would be appreciated.

1.5" seems too narrow for the anchor, chain, rode and link.

Not sure but I bleieve or thought the channel is 2 inches wide. He may have miscalculated. What is the width of that channel. FYI there is an aluminium plate encapsuled in the fiberglass which to drill and tap when installing an anchor roller.

On my 240 the anchor roller channel is 2" wide. I installed a Windline URM-2 roller- it's longer than the part Hunter used, and keeps the anchor away from the hull much better. I did drill and tap the aluminum plate embedded in the glass under the channel.

Perfect fit roller

I looked it up. We used a Windline BRM-2. It holds a Lewmar Delta 14lb. The Delta semi-self launches. I’m sure the roller would hold other types, probably not Danforth due to fluke length. SS plate imbedded in hull is drilled and tapped. Worked great. Good luck.

the Delta semi-self launches
New owner of a 270 here - is this why the Danforth doesn't seem to fit the anchor roller on this boat? Was it designed for a Delta anchor?

I have the stock 2" channel, extends a few inches off the starboard bow with a small spring-loaded pin. Can't figure out how that's supposed to work exactly...

Roller

Our Windline BRM-2 doesn’t have a pin and I’ve never used one that does. I think it keeps the line from hopping off. Semi self launch with our setup means when you release rode tension it tends to fall. I have the rode led back to the cockpit.
