Just bought my first sailboat, 1977 27' Hunter, and noticed it has no place for an anchor on the bow. The roller furling attaches directly to the bow and there doesnt seem to be anyway to add a roller to store a an anchor. Does anyone have any suggestions? I read the post about anchoring from the aft then walking the line up to the boa and cleating it. I will probably do that but would prefer to have a permanently mounted anchor on the bow. Any suggestions???

Thanks
Dan

Here's an option - rail mounter bracket. Tony

check out the modifications section in the H28.5 model - there's a modification with great pictures and build commentary to perhaps help you make a SS plate upon which to mount an anchor roller and pin it in place. The Rail Mount suggested above is by far a quicker and cheaper approach.
