What's it plugged with?

Use a wire to ream it out, then a blast of compressed air to finish. Try a dinghy pump or even a carpenter's compressor to blow the rest out.

Water hose

John/Betsy: Just take a water hose an put it up against the thru hull on the exterior. It should blow anything that is in the out. We often get bugs and leaves in our anchor locker that slows the flow. Never had the situation when it was completely blocked.

water hose

The water hose with a spray nozzle on JET setting works well for me. On regular basis, I do shoot up from the exit side to get any large debris out and then shoot from the top to clean everything out, mud, rocks from the chain and anchor, bugs and bug nests. The last time it was a black plastic tie wrap that found its way in and started a blockage... a coat-hanger wire did the trick. PS: easy with the wire, you do not want to puncture the hose... have fun Mario

Didn't know of hose

I didn't know that there was a hose to the drain spout. Best if you just use a high power water nozzle to clear it out. Buy the nozzle and a shut-off at the same time and keep it on board.
