I have a 1990 Hunter Passage 42, and have cruised about 25,000 miles with it on the coconut milk run for several years. The anchor locker and windlass always require hand-tailing on the chain due to the horizontal run from the windlass into the chain locker. I wish to modify my windlass/anchor locker so that it will safely operate in a hands-free tailing fashion. Does anybody have any experience with that? All suggestions are welcome. My email address is cossman1@pacbell.net. Thanks.

Plastic

My 42 has a plastic strip that is about 18 inch long that covers the grove in the bottom of the locker. It helps but I sure like the new anchor lockers. I would like to here what you have done to your 42 to get 25,000 offshore miles. How has the boat held up?
