Hi Bob - Davis provides one simple solution to your dilemma: a white LED light attached to a cord that you can plug into an anboard 12V cigaretter lighter socket (easy to install for accessories if you don't have one already). You can run the cord into the cockpit and hang the light from the boom at night. Other ideas are so hang a kerosene lantern. Of course if your mast is down, running a cable to a fixture atop the mast isn't a huge project, but the Davis light works for me. Best, Trevor
