My AM/FM radio is full of electrical noise. When installed, the 2 ft. long antenna wire was simply put into a wire bundle which I blame for some of it. I get very poor reception. I also have a great deal of noise coming from the AC powered battery charging system. My question is; Has anyone installed a auto antenna that works? How and where should it be mounted? Can I install a noise surpressor in the DC power line? Will that help? Thanks, Wayne

You can buy an in line noise suppressor for the DC power supply line from an auto audio store. For your antenna - If you have a marine band whip antenna mounted atop your mast, get a "Shakespear" (mfr) splitter which will enable you to get dual purpose from your existing marine band whip antenna. It is an interconnect that "T" s off - one side to the marine band radio, the other to your AM/FM. Mine works great. They are available at most marine stores - online and the brick/mortor stores.
