Alternator upgrade

I offerred to help a friend of mine. he has an Oday 39 (1984) with a Universal diesel 44hp, and want s to yupgrade to an alternator 100-120 amps.Apparently it is hard to find any info of what's good and will fit and not too expensiveAny suggestions?Thank you
