I am replacing the Hitachi Alternator on my Yanmar, with one from Balmar and the MC612 Charge Regulator. The question I have is, the Hitachi had a dual female plug, that plugged into one horizontal and one vertical male post - for the tach and "idiot" light - as I have read from past posts. Since the Balmar only has one male post, can I combine the two wires so that they connect to the same male post? Any suggestions/concerns?
