Just come back from a weekend anchored out just N of Charleston. 3 soft groundings going N up the ICW between Ben Sawyer bridge and Isle of Palms (it was just after low tide) and managed to get the anchor rode wrapped round the keel. But great fun.
It is the most motoring we have done in the boat, and when we got back i noticed the alternator belt is starting to come apart. I have a yanmar 2GM20F, with an uprated alternator. Searching on the internet, Yanamr belts don't have a great reputation. Gates green stripe gets a lot of mentions, but how do i find out which one i need?
