Last time I went out, had engine runaway (2GM20) due to diesel fuel in oil sump. Found lift fuel pump had defective diaphragm. Question, instead of going with a new yanmar fuel pump, why couldnt I use an automobile electric fuel pump,bypassing the lift pump? Actually this seems like a better solution as it would automatically prime system up to injector pump,or at least apply instant fuel pressure. Also price difference is substantial. Any comments out there? good luck red
