Alternate HIN location

On my '85 Hunter 34 (similar design), inside the rear lazarette, the number is painted on the inner surface of the transom in blue. I have never come across where it might be embossed into the hull.

Not sure of the location but I believe there are generally more than just one hidden hull ID number. Just like cars, these are placed to deter theft and or fraud. Helps prevent stolen or salvaged boats being re-numbered and sold to unwary buyers... that sort of thing.

It's molded into the layup exactly where kloudie cited.
In 10 years I believe I've seen every nook and cranny and have not seen it anywhere else. It would be a good idea to idea to paint it into another hidden area however.
Is it gone?
