Any one want say anything about Alliance Rib Inflatable and are they good or bad.

They are all okay until you need a warranty repair.

I would stick with a name brand. APEX, Achilles, Caribe, Avon Etc. If your dealer goes out of business where will you need to take that unit for repairs?

If it is made of PVC I would not even consider it. You want Hypalon or one of the similar fabrics.

Yes they are made of PVC. You get what you pay for. Of course if you only needed for short and light duty and are willing to give it extra maintenance and protection it may make a good choice.

but Benny, why would you want a RIB if that was the case?

PVC is an okay alternative if you want to deflate it after each use. Other than that it is an expensive alternative if you leave them exposed to sun for prolonged periods of time.

We bought a PVC inflatable after 10 + successful years using a hypalon one. I'm disappointed b/c had to repair two slits in it this summer and never had to with the hypalon. Maybe it was fault.....drug it over sharp objects or something?

At any rate, I'm looking for a replacement. I will go with a brand name either hard dink or rib. No hypalon.

I bought our Mercury at the miami boat show 2 years ago. Had one warrenty issue that was quickly handled. Got a good deal from busters marine. No affiliation
