I am deciding about becoming the next steward of an Alden Challenger that has been with the current owner since 1999. I am on the coast of Maine, in Harpswell. I would love to talk with a current or previous owner of an Alden Challenger to hear what it is like to own and sail one, and what I should be preparing for annual maintenance and costs. I have done a lot of my own research, and spent time visiting and talking with the current owner. We tried to go for a sail but we had a full-fog-0-wind-day. We will try again later in the summer.
