Alcohol stove pressure

I have an '84 C30 with an old alcohol stove. I live aboard and the stove is in good shape. The previous owner replaced the alcohol tank with an air tank, the tank I believe is fine. I'm losing pressure somewhere in the line causing my stove to die. The first thing I plan on doing is replacing the hose and the fittings because I obviously have a leak somewhere. Is the propane conversion hard to accomplish or is it simply a propane tank with new hose and fitting?

Do you pressurize the tank (like with a hand pump)? If you are losing pressure I would first suspect the tank. If you had a leak between the tank, and the stove you would have alcohol spilling out somewhere. You can't convert the alcohol stove to propane. You will need to install a new propane stove, along with the tank, hose, regulator, compartment for the tank, solenoid, etc.!

Hey Mick, the tank had pressure to it and when I pulled the tank out to check it, the fitting was leaking on the tank. I found liquid behind the stove also, my first plan is to replace the hose and 20 year old fittings first, then go to plan b if that doesn't work.
