I am afraid we will be selling her. I will be putting this in
Craigslist over the next day or so, but wanted to see if a Albin Vega
fan would be interested.
The Albin Vega we have for sale is #1591. She was purchased for use
as a second boat for extended cruising. Alas, with children and
careers and additional boats we conclude that we will not be able to
use her for the extended cruising we originally intended.
The Albin Vega comes with a roller-furled jib, original main, and
spinnaker. The lines have all been routed to the cockpit for single-
handed sailing. She is powered by an Evinrude 9.8hp outboard and
also comes with two (2) Volvo MD6A engines. One MD6A is installed
with a Combi transmission and requires a cooling system flush and
manifold work. It has all new fuel lines, fuel pump, and water
hoses. The other MD6A was taken off another Albin Vega last summer
from a guy who was headed to Ecuador who wanted the space used by the
inboard. It turns over but we have not started it.
Amenities include propane stove and propane heater, head, and a table
kit that can be set up below or in the cockpit. Electronics include
a Nautech tiller autosteer, CB, and VHF radio.
The boat is moored at Leschi in Lake Washington. The moorage has
been paid through September.
$9000 or $8500 without the outboard motor (it's a really nice
outboard. If you already have one we would want to keep it).
