I have reluctantly decided to part with Whisper.
I keep the boat too far from home and just don't get to use it often
enough. The Boat is in the water in Deltaville, VA USA with slip
fees paid in full through June 2006 She's in good shape, and ready
to sail. I haven't set an asking price yet, I'm working through that
with a broker. (anyone have advice?)
Here are some of her features:
Re-powered in 2004 with a Beta 13 HP Diesel
Complete with a new transmission drive shaft prop and Blackjack
sterngland.
VHF Marine Radio New in 2005
Loran C (I assume this works, for what it is worth)
It has an old GPS on board but I don't know if it works, I've never
taken the time to understand it.
(Like the Loran - May not be worth mentioning)
Porti potti
2 burner coleman propane stove
propane swinging stove
propane grill that mounts on the rail
Two anchors with ground tackle, plus an additional Bruce anchor (I
believe)
Two new Batteries.
Shore power with a new Cord.
Roller Furling head sail, and Main Sail Both in good condition (not
new, but definately servicable.)
15 amp battery charger installed
And a sure charge 20 (the cats meow for chargers) New and in the
Box but not yet installed.
Knotmeter and log (these are not working but could be repaired,
think it's the sensor)
Rule Bilge pump. Works but the automatic switch is stuck in the on
position so it has to be switched manually. Can be fixed easily but
requires removing the fuel tank. Once the switch is fixed it is
equipped with a high water bilge alarm.
Original manuals for the boat and all equipment will be provided to
the buyer.
New Lifering man overboard device (not sure of the brand name for
this)
AM FM Cassette Radio.
Dining Table
Auto helm (I've never used this either)
Lots of extras fiddly bits like boat hooks, life jackets, cleaning
supplies, spares, etc.etc.
