I need to locate a good Alameda, CA. yard for a haulout and see that Nelson's, Svendsen's and Mariner all are available. Does anyone in the SF area recommend one over the other for Catalina work, or are they all equally acceptable and price should be the guide?

I think Mariners has done a lot of Catalina work for the Catalina dealerin Alameda, Farallone Yachts...you might check with them but I had a godd experience with Mariner, admittedly 5 years ago now... Joe Castro

Dave JR's right, they do Catlina commissioning. I've used all three, they're fine. I use Mariner's now because they're in my yacht harbor, Grand Marina. Also depends on what you need to have done. If it's just a bottom job, it's pretty much a toss up and price could be your guide. Mariner's has a free hull wax in Nov. and Dec. Stu
