Following up on my previous question about using my old transducers with my new Zeus2, I called B&G tech support today and was told the old transducers are analogue and will not work with the Zeus2. I asked for a recommendation and the tech told me an Airmar DST800 is what I need. (I told him I would prefer one transducer instead of the two I have currently). This raises another issue for me as I have replaced my Airmar ST850 every 2 - 3 years for the last several years. The temperature fails after about a year and reads 58 degrees constantly. While I don't necessarily need temperature all the time, it is nice to have, and when spending $200-300 on a device I always think it's nice to have it work as intended for more than a year. Wondering if there are any better options, or even any other options at all than the Airmar? Looking online I see I am not the only one plagued by this issue with the Airmar transducers.
