I just replaced my speed transducer that refused to talk to my Seatalk ng nework is just installed. It is a st800 by airmar. I just unscrewed it and had plug ready to go and a bit of water came in until plug seated (maybe a cup). Then I cut the wire at old transducer and taped connection end of new wire to it and pulled the old wire with new wire attached through aft cabin bulkhead. When new wire was through conduit I removed plug and installed new fitting into thru hull fitting. Went pretty easy.
