Hi Peggy, My wife is very interested in an Airhead toilet. She is of the green state of mind and would like to keep our boat water friendly. The only question that comes to mind about this purchase is, no one ever speaks about the toilet paper. The company line is 80 uses per season, is this includng the necessary toilet paper to finish the job? If so, has someone computed this within the 5 gallon container specs. I would hate to purchase this unit only to find that the toilet paper needs to be disposed of in a seperate manner. Considering the coat of approx $850.00 plus parts, your input would be appreciated. Our boat is a 1998 hunter 26 which up until now has had a Sealand Port a pottie with the 5-6 gallon tank. We use it about 26 to 30 weekends per year. TIA for you help. J. R. Setser

Yes, TP can be "flushed" in an Airhead...

That is, provided that ONLY quick-dissolve TP is used, and in limited amounts--5-6 sheets max, not the usual half a roll/flush most women seem genetically programmed to use. It breaks down very quickly--as does the "coffee filter" bowl liner that should be used for solids. However, since urine must be stored separately, either in jugs that must be carried ashore or in a holding tank for pumpout, I'm not sure that spending $800+ will give you much of an advantage over your existing 5-6 gallon portapotty--especially if it's permanently installed and fitted for pumpout.

Danger Will Robinsen...

Peggy... I read the first sentence of your response to the admiral... I think that I will be sleeping on the boat tonight...
