Reverse Cycle?
You don't say if the A/C is reverse cycle or not. Many of them are. If so it may be set on Heat. Check the owner's manual. Otherwise, call a good marine A/C technician. With the laws against venting Freon and related refrigeration gasses, trying to do it yourself may put you in line for a hefty fine.
