I am a proud owner of a 1990 30ft Hunter in perfect condition. I own this boat for 4 years and when a bought it is just the way is still is. The previous owner did a very good job maintaining it. Their is one problem I have been trying to correct. I sail in the Caribean and as you might imagine summer last only 12 months. Is like living in an eternal heaven. (not complaining!)I'm desperate for an air condition unit that can be installed without removing the water heater, not that a cannot do without it, but I hate to remove items that I don't have to. If anyone out their knows of a unit that can be installed in the forward cabin in a locker please let me know. The dealers I have talked to in the island apperantly don't know where to purchase one. I saw this unit in a Hunter 30 at Saint Thomas a few years back but the owner had no clue were it was purchased. If I have to remove the water heater I will, but only after all have failed. I'll be looking for any information on the HOW.

air conditioning on H30

A crusair 12000 btu unit can be installed in the bow compartment just ahead of the water tank. The return air duck can be installed in the starboard side pocket located on the front side and to the left of the port locker. the output air duck can be installed through the port bow hanging locker with an exit through the top of the locke into an output box with a small vent in the vee berth and a larger vent output to the main salon through the bulkhead.
