Air Conditioning Mac 26M

I can finally enjoy the cool breeze of air conditioning on those hot nights. The picture shows how I mounted a 5,000 btu air conditioner in the hatch of my Mac 26M. The hatch mount is in two pieces. The top section can be removed to exit or enter by stepping over the bottom half with the air conditioner. Works great and cost less than $100 for all materials. The hatch mount is made of quarter inch plywood painted white.

Seems like that would take alot of juice...do you just use it when hooked to a dock, or can it run at anchor?

Will find out!

I plan to use it while docked, however, I am going to test it with my 2000 watt generator to see if it will handle the start up load.

Heavy Duty

A/C, 2,000 watt generator, sounds like it'd be a little more comfy but at the cost of adding a lot of weight.
