Purchasing a 1990 H28 and would like to install a/c before launching. I would appreciate your thoughts....

What are location options for installations?

Also any brand names to avoid?

As a newbie, I have enjoyed reading your posts.

Not sure about your layout but on my h27 the AC is under the vbirth. The return air is at the v entrance in the head. One vent goes to the v on the starboard side and one to the main salon on the starboard bulkhead.

I just completed installing a Wasbasto look alike aircon on my friend's h280. Compressor located under V-berth where the hotwater tank is. Out goes the hot water tank. CW is tee off from heads intake. Discharge goes to the hull side within the compartment under V-berth. Condensate drain pipe to bilge through battery compartment. Air intake and air outlet is at two sides at base of V berth. Air outlet has a hood to direct air away from intake.

You do know that God invented the venturi effect so you do not have to have a wet bilge from the Condensate drain do you not?.:D

Yes I do :D I looked into one once, read feedback that it breaks easily ...oops! But if I found an SS one, will consider it. Dry bilge do smells a lot lot better.
