Hello fellow Hunter Matesmen,

I have a 41DS that I'd like to add air conditioning to.
I was told that all duct work is was already installed in the factory, which would be behind the headliner.
I don't know how to install the small round vents, and there are no installers that are familiar with working on Hunters.

Anyone's help or experience with this is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I own a 2007 41 DS. The main ductwork is already installed and is visable, but there is additional & different "flexable hose" ductwork that connects to the heads and also from the rear a/c to the last 3 vents over the galley in the salon. I found this duct which is about 6" in diameter when I installed a generator in the Euro locker. This duct runs under the Euro locker, comes up behind the hanging locker in the aft cabin and connects to the aft end of the built in visable ductwork. When I turn on the aft A/C, the 3 vents over the galley have airflow. I believe there is a diagram in the owners manual that shows the piping of the system. My boat came with A/C from the factory. It would appear to me that the round vents are installed by drilling a hole and then snapping in.

My boat is located in Southold on the North Fork of Long Island. Sail over and you can take a look for yourself!

Thanks so much for the information and details.
I found the ductwork in the stern lazerettes, and other areas.
I'll have to find out how to cut the holes in the headliner in the exact spot where the ducts are of course.

Looking forward to see you sometime on the Northfork.
I used to race J24's out of Greenport LI.

Thanks again.
John
