Check with Mermaid I think they're somewhere in your neck of the woods. I put a 16,500 in my boat last year and love it. Mounted on the hanging shelf in aft cabin and ran duct for main cabin out under compainionway. No problem getting air to the vberth.

I am not for sure but I think 12k BTUs is a little light for your boat. I have a 1991 30T and I think I installed more than that. I don't remember your layout but I installed my A/C in the aft berth and ran the ducts in the cabinet in the head. I did not have enought room under the nav station for mine. I then built a cabinet in the aft berth to enclose the A/C unit. One outlet in the aft berth is plenty.

Power supply

Plan on adding an additional 110 volt shore power receptical and the associated circuit breakers. If you try to run AC and anything else you will be pushing the limits of your 20 amp service. A second 20 is required, and shore power cable and shore power outlet. Do you have an additional 20 amp shore power receptical on your slip? Also, you will need a new thru hull to supply cooling water and and AC water pump.

On another note, why do you need AC. So I can enjoy my boat at the slip?????? Just go sailing or buy 12 volt fans. I would note that there is a large body of water just off the stern of your boat which is GREAT for cooling off.
