I always stand on the, original fiberglass, aft seat when I want to see while docking or looking for Orcus.
If I step too far forward on the front edge of the seat it will tilt forward and slam back down when I step back.
The lock downs are for looks only.

So this is my new seat mockup and it works great even without strap tie downs...no more tilting.
I'm not sure what I will lock it down or secure it with, but no more banging.

Yea, I think the seat is bull to, and dangerous if not locked down!
Looks good! You got full use out of that piece of plywood ehh. RPS mount, cheek blocks backing, now new seat.
I'm off to get my mooring bridal made, and then to mount the solar panels.

Aft seat replacment

I don't care for the aft seen design either. Its awkward to store, takes a lot of space, and it sinks. I am planning to replace it with a piece of reinforced starboard type material with a hinge on one side that will allow it to swing up for quick entry, without the need to remove. I'll post pictures when finished.

For now foam on bottom (as mentioned in another post) and add a lanyard to secure it when stowed on the safety line.

I'm a 309 owner, but I think the size and design are the same as 310's
