Aft Cabin Leak

We took possession of our new Hunter 320 last year. Love it!! One nagging problem still exists. Everytime I wash the boat, I get two tiny leaks that come back into the aft stateroom down the panel that separates the holding and diesel tanks from the rest of the cabin. I have tried caulking around the cockpit console floor, the cockpit shower, the emergency tiller AND the emergency bilge pump. TO NO AVAIL. It only happens when I wash her. We can have heavy downpours and nothing. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. S/V "Never Say Never"

Bob: I think that there was a post about this last year (check the archives). As I remember there was something about removing the screens on the ports and then re-dogging the ports. Not sure that this was the model or the cure.

Don't have this problem, but....

Did you re-caulk the wire chase from the pedistal, you will have to remove the cockpit floor to get to it, but this may be the area. Hope this helps. Regards. Bruce Neon Moon

I do not have the problem that you have, but have found that sometimes when we wash our boats, we use high pressure from the nozzle. This forces water into tiny crevices. Try to use a little less pressure or more of a mist.
