A while ago, someone posted the attached drawing on either this or the "Big Boats" forum (I put this same message on that forum). I've lost the information as to who originally posted it.

If it looks familiar to you - as in it was your drawing! - I'd love to get in touch with you. Could you either respond on the forum or email me off list?

Much thanks,

Steve

Thanks, Ed. That was a thread about mattresses but I didn't find anything to identify who drew that sketch in it. Whomever posted it had to have done so within the past two years since that's when I turned in my "Cherub" hat from my '81 33 and went newer and larger with this current '97 376.

I still look in on the Cherubini list from time to time and see some of the 'regulars' (like you!) still contributing.

Twas I!

And so here it is again.
BTW the H380 also uses the same bunk tray moulding.

I am so sorry. The file attachement on this site takes my perfectly legible 180K .jpg file and squashes it to an unreadable 17.2K .jpg. It also, understandably, refuses the original 3.2Mb .bmp file.
If you cannot decipher the dimensions please PM me.

PHIL ANY IDEAS WHY IT DOES THIS PLEASE?????

Ed, you think the Cleveland was exasperating? Try the Giants! Total implosion, again! And Don, I owe you a reply on the windlass stuff but haven't gotten around to really thinking about that for a while. If I do it it will be a spring or early summer project. But thank you!

Meanwhile, Don, that's an incredible drawing. It looks exactyl like the one I originally put up - did you do that one? I wonder if you could email mail that drawing to me? I'd like to "borrow" it to send to the mattress company for a quote. Yours looks almost identical to the one I put up here except yours has a LOT more dimensions....

By the way, did you try and convert the drawing to a PDF and then post it? That might work....

Hi WS 1 ,
Yes. Obviously I found a way to overcome the limitations of the site by first simplifying the drawing and then converting it to a .pdf.
For info I noticed that the H380 had an interior sprung mattress as an option and so I asked at our Southampton Boatshow for one. The Hunter salesman informed me that the H380 utilised the same bunk moulding as the H376 so the mattress would fit.
I ordered mine from Hunters and it arrived on board the next shipment of boats to the UK.
You could do the same.

Please note it is darned heavy and, as it is reluctant to bend, is an absolute devil to get down the companionway. However, having spent a small fortune, 'where there is a will there is a way' prevailed and in it went.
You should find my sketch sufficient but be advised the mattress is an inch thicker at 5" than the original foam one. This reduces the clearance between mattress and deckhead over the aftermost side of the bunk which means more struggle for the Admiral should she need the facilities in the middle of the night!
I can send you my more detailed drawing if you send me a 'private message' e-mail containing your ID me via this site.

Since fitting it I have had perfect nights' sleep.
