Hello all,

I have just signed a contract for new 309. I am thinking of equipping her with a rocha anchor, but am unsure about size. Is a 22 lbs anchor too large for the roller?

Any recommendations?

I'm thinking you probably mean Rocna. I have the 22lb. on my 309 and it fits perfectly on the roller.

I have a 35pound CQR manson anchor on my Catalina 310. just wondering what size chain 309 owners are using.

I had a 25 pound Manson Supreme on a 310 roller and it fit fine. I currently own a Rocna but would strongly urge you to NOT buy one at this present time and buy a Manson Supreme instead.

Rocna has been apparently selling under spec'd anchors, under their own spec, and a number of bent ones have surfaced. It seems the transition from NZ manufacturing to China was not such a good move.

Okay, okay okaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy. There's enough scuttlebut on the net regarding the Chinese made Rocna, that I took mine (bought this Spring) back to the retailer for a full refund. Ordered the Manson Supreme for $100.00 less. I'm going with the 25 pounder. Oughta fit.
