Hello, during a recent storm my spreader bracket snapped on my Catalina 27. I’ve ordered the stainless steel replacement bracket and new spreader bars from Catalina Direct. One of the bolt holes for the bracket got torn. The other side is ok. Asking for input on the best way to go about repairing this as I don’t have any experience fixing this type of thing. Thanks for any assistance.

I would take the mast down. Have a welder that knows aluminum come and patch the hole.
I think I would have a rigger check that mast for distortion on both sides at the level of the spreader as he might recommend a patch rather than a weld.
