Pete

I am interested in finding out how (or if) anyone has addressed the issue of providing some protection from the sun with a bimini in a C22. I have downsized from a 33' boat (not enough time...storage fees...) and am intersted in the C22, but need shade for my family -otherwise I will be alone. A. Has anyone moved the mainsheet forward? B. Mid-ship )behind the pop-up and a bit forward in the cockpit? Any suggestion with a picture would be appreciated. I would like to join the C22 family. P

bimini

You can get a standard Bimini from Catalina Direct. No need to move the mainsheet because it works with the Bimini up as it is currently configured. When the Bimini is folded up it leans towards the Pop Top hatch and is basically out of the way. If you look at the photo gallery of the Catalina Owners Website you will see many C22 with bimini's.---Mike

check out Chip ahoy

Hi Pete: For a good picture of an affordable bimini. Go to Chip ahoy home port (chipford.com). then page down on the right to Chuck Bennett's Bimini Top. He gives all the details on his Bimini. Hope this helps! Phil
