adler barbour freezer top dripping water- help!

I am looking for help solving our freezer problems on our 5 year old Beneteau 423. I have the freezer set to 3-4 and when I open the freezer door, the lid is literally dripping water down the back..which then accumulates around the back and sides of the freezer and creates 1-2 inches of frost buildup within a few days.
We have removed everything in the locker below to allow for circulation. I have made the refrigerator temperature cooler to try to balance them out..not sure that did anything?

Can anyone help with troubleshooting ideas or better still an up to date contact ( phone or email) for Adler Barbour freezer customer support? We are missing our manuals for this so if anyone has a link to the manual that would be ideal.

i tried Waeco but their 1-860-664-4911 number is out of service.

Dometic purchased Adler-Barbour. My freezer does the same thing. These are not frost-free appliances. We keep two large frozen water containers in the freezer, and defrost every week. You can turn off the freezer but keep the refrigerator fan running while the defrost occurs. We don't store frozen food aboard unless we are on cruise.

insulate and weatherstrip the lid! needs to be airtight as a domestic fridge would be. good luck!
