Adjust dog bone in boom for reefing

I have a 2019 Capri 22 and it has the factory single line reefing system. My front reef line has suddenly become too short for some reason. I understand that there is a “dog bone” in the boom that ties the front and rear portions of the reefing lines together.
Does anyone know how to adjust the length of the front reef line?

A photo of your reefing line set up on your boom or a diagram from your manual would help. Is it a jiffy reefing set up?
