I'm thinking of adding some teak boards to the headliner of my Catalina 27 to give a warmer look to the interior. I suppose it would be best to add them to the recessed parts so as not to cut down on headroom. Has anyone tried this. How di you attach the teak? Many thanks.

Teak on Headliner

Bob, I have a 1977 C-30 with a 1/4" x 3" x 5' strip of teak along the center of the headliner. The previous owner put it in. The embedded wires for the dinette light corroded & he ran wires along the headliner & used the teak to conceal the wires. He used epoxy to glue the wood in place. It actually looks pretty good, it's functional and it wouldn't be difficult to remove if I needed to. Hope this helps. Allen Schweitzer s/v Falstaff C-30 Hull# 632
