I'm looking for a site that will provide the information (how to and what is needed) on adding shorepower. Our needs are modest, but the convenience would be nice. I'd like to do it myself. Any advice or comments would be appreciated. TIA, Bill

I can help.

Before becoming a teacher I had my own marine elec. shop. If you need help email me and I can talk you through the job. It will not be as difficult as you think. I also award you for starting a job like this. dflowers@pyramid3.net Don Flowers Rockport, Tx.

An online Guide

Marinco has an online “Boater’s Guide to AC Electrical Systems (Shore Power) http://www.marinco.com/ Click on Customer Service & goto: http://www.marinco2.com/pdf_files/Boaters_Guide_AC_Electric.pdf If this doesn’t provide enough info’, you probable need a professional. Any specific questions ? HTH Gord

safe shorepower

Please take a look at Don Casey's article for BoatUS in the link below. The information on Ground Fault Interrupt is worth following. I added a ground fault interrupt between the shorepower inlet and the boats a/c power pannel distribution switches.
