adding refrigeration

I am going to add refrigeration to my 1988 C34.What unit should I use?We are normally only away from shore power overnight, do I need to have a 12 volt system or will the ice box stay cold?Where do I locate the compressor?Is there anything else I should be concerned about?Thank You for your input.

C34 refrigeration

Catalina installs the small, vertical Adler/Barbour ColdMachine. The condensing unit may be located up to 15' from the box. Choose a location that is well ventilated (or can be). We recommend a minimum 200 amp/hour house bank for the "casual cruiser". Order the CU-100 (condensing unit) and the VD-150 (evaporator). The only other thing you'll need is a friend to help with the installation. Enjoy
