Ok we are having trouble deciding where to put the boat name and hailing port on the stern of boat. My old 290 had it big as day above the stern steps but we are going low key this time and thinking of adding the boat name below the stern steps on our 2007 36. I am looking for any photo's of on the stern below the steps. NICK

If you are documenting the boat

The CG requirements are as follows: The name and hailing port of a recreational vessel must be marked together on some clearly visible exterior part of the hull. The vessel name of a commercial vessel must also be marked on the port and starboard bow and the vessel name and the hailing port must also be marked on the stern. All markings may be made by any means and materials that result in durable markings and must be at least four inches in height, made in clearly legible letters of the Latin alphabet or Arabic or Roman numerals. The "hailing port" must include both a place and a State, Territory, or possession of in the United States. The state may be abbreviated. However, most sailboats with swim platforms do not have the room. They don't address this. Good luck

What name did you choose

I'm not sure you are going to have enough room by the steps, it might look off. The port and starboard sides below the stern seats might work
