Adding Cockpit Speakers

Jim, I own a Legend 37 (like you). I want to add cockpit speakers, but can't seem to identify a good location dure to the availablability of open space that will alow me to install normal size (9") flush mount speakers. I have to be concerned about locations on either side of the helm because my autohelm control panel mounts inside the cockpit on the starboard side directly opposite the engine contro panel. Where have you seen them mounted and what sizes have you seen?

Cockpit speakers

I abandoned the idea of flush speakers and installed a pair of Jensen 6 1/2 two way speakers (surface mount) on the rear pulpit. I can get to each one and it doesn't look too bad & works well. Had to replace them once after 7 years outside but hey.....
