I'm adding four cleats, two per side on my 1998 H240. About two feet aft of the bow there is good access from the v-berth to back cleats with 1.5" x 6" x .25" aluminum plates. I couldn't find any area forward with glassed in plates for additional cleats. However there are raised pads where each side deck rounds to the transom aft and below the current cleats. These are 2" x 4" at the base and 1' x 3" at the top. This is just the right size for a 6.5" cleat. Anyone know if there is an aluminum plate glassed in there?

I'm interested to know as well Dave. My Starboard rear cleat is loose and I can't get to it from the interior to add washers and a nut to a longer bolt etc!

Fwalberg -can you add some pics when you've completed. Bigger cleats midship and two forward would be very helpful on the 240.

Thanks.
