Adding a windless

Anyone added a windless. Is it a very big pain to do? What model did you pick? Was it hard to install? Thanks, Jim DownTime H28

Shouldn't need one

If you're sailing a 28-footer, the anchor shouldn't be so heavy or cumbersome to compel a windlass. Eh?

Hi Jim, Bill is right. We had an H28 for three...

years and used the anchor quite a bit. Not that big a deal by hand. Terry

She's usually the one hauling it up! :)

I would feel like a real cad if I did that...

She was at the helm and I did the hauling. Worked out great for us. Terry

Tend to agree. . .

with Bill and Terry. Even my 35# CQR is not that tough. I did buy a manual S/L off of E-Bay as backup though. :)
