Adding 2nd smart plug up front question

Have a smart plug and elci mounted in the cockpit locker
Thinking about installing another smart plug receiver in the anchor locker for use when docking bow first will only use one at a time
Do i need to install another elci in the bow at the new location

Yes. ABYC wants circuit protection within 10 wire feet of the inlet.

An anchor locker may not be the best location for a AC inlet. They can be pretty damp locations which would increase the likelihood of corrosion. It might be easier and cheaper to get a longer cord.

There was a thread on this about a month ago. Lots of opinions there. Otherwise, the recepticle will not get as wet in the anchor locker as it will sitting in the weather anywhere else. They have a stout cover and gasket in them.

It would be better to have the second connection on a second switch in the 110 AC Panel with a lock-out for the unused one... or a transfer (like a wye valve) switch between the 2 inputs and just use the OEM panel breaker.
