Pegggie, a week or so ago, I had written about my newly installed vented look on the head intake not pumping in. You correctly diagnosed the problem being that I installed the loop before the head pump and you indicated that it should be between the pump and the bowl. I did this and it works!!!! Now, however, the intake water squirts out of the top of the vented loop. What gives? Mike McKendy

The loop is missing its air valve

There's supposed to be a one-way valve in the nipple on the top of the loop (it threads in) that only lets air IN, nothing out. Apparently it's missing from yours. Contact the mfr and ask them to send you one.
