HOW Editorial

Thanks to some heavy lobbying from Steve Dion (H31 Heather Marie) the owner directory now has a field for your hull number. As Steve pointed out, this could be a tremendous asset to anyone purchasing a used boat. Just search the database for the hull number and you may find the former owners! Now, talk about hitting the mother lode of data sources... So please, take a moment to paste this address into your browser: http://www.sailboatowners.com/db/edit1.tpl?fno=00 Or, scroll to the TOP of this screen... - pull down the 'navigate site' menu on the right, select 'Owner Directory' then click on 'go.' - When you see the owner directory, scroll to the bottom and select 'edit your record.' then just follow the instructions. You'll also notice that there is a new 'last modified' field in the db to show how old or new the data is. Someone suggested this recently and I can't find his name (would you identify your self for kudos, it's a great idea!). The point is, it clues you in on the probability that the owner's email address is still good. Enjoy!

Thanks Phil

Phil: Thank you for the enhancement. My harbor master thanks you too. You just increased the size of the Heather Marie by 3 ft. and $15.75/month. The Heather Marie is really still just a little ol' 31 footer. I just love this site.

busted

Phil, I attempted to past the url into my browser, but got a message saying "Sorry, but you must access this site through the Hunter Owner's Web." Will try the other approach.

John - did it work?

Did you get your serial number in, or continue to have that problem?
