LOL... I hadn't noticed but you're right. She told me that the new top was to protect her from the sun but I think it was so she could coordinate.Bud, I see your wife has color coordinated with the pooch.. something I can relate to. My wife may not care much about sail shape .. but I rarely have to worry about color coordination..
Considering she started with a Sunfish then graduated to a Hobie Cat the Admiral has a good concept of the BOOM. When I call "ready about" from the starboard side I hear "ready." From the port side I hear "ready." From the companion way I hear "EEK."Great view from her new sailing perch. Might want to caution her that they call it a BOOM because that is what it feels like as it sweeps the unaware sailor from the boat. Maybe a place at the rail with feet dangling, a life line to hold on to with the Admirals head and smile below the sweeping ability of the boom.
Nice!First club race of the summer on the Mississippi - lagged behind a Seaward 32 and Precision 23 for most of it, but caught a nice breeze on the last leg and with corrected time won by 30sec! Photo with about a minute to the finish.
Thanks for the tip. I'm glad your friend's wife is okay and getting back on the boat. You know you boat Bud. Close friend last year had a wave swing his boom across the Cockpit and then back. Gave his wife a kiss on the cheek. Ruined his day and frightened his wife right off the boat for 8 months. She is just getting back sailing. When I saw the picture of your boat, the accident was fresh in my mind.
Play safe out there and enjoy the fun of sailing.
