Active Captain and Garmin Bluechart app changes

I just saw a thread on another forum that will be of interest to those of you who use Blue Chart and AC. Some people are having problems. Not sure where this is going. I'm an AC user and will be watching this one daily. http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/f121/active-captain-help-193237.html

I was / am having issues with the weather feature using app on an iPad/phone..... Garmin says it is s problem due to new iPad software upgrades and compatibility issues. Say they are working on it.......

And now, Garmin owns AC. I use Navionics on a phone and Blue Chart on an ipad. Has anyone downloaded the AC app for Navionics? What did you think?

I saw this article on Panbo the other day. I haven't read the details nor have I looked for the app. I was hoping someone could figure it out.

I just read the Panbo article and don't see any mention AC integration with the Navionics app.

Larry, It may be a tad early for the folks at Garmin to be able to change Navionics. It took them what a couple of months to mess with AC?

One of the Panbo articles said that Garmin had been working on the ActiveCaptain app for two years, even though they just bought the company in May of this year. So clearly they are thinking ahead for some apps/integration plans.

I love Navionics and have had it on my chartplotter since 2007 and love it and still have Navionics on windows computers,I had it on my Android tablet and just renewed Navionics on my IPad and look forward to using Dock to Dock feature.
I hope they add AC to Navionics soon.

I second that. It would complete the program. The Navionics "Community" is weak and stale. They will never get the critical mass that AC has (unless Garmin screws it up) and should give up on it, or merge it with AC. (IMHO)
